BLK Cookery is a culinary company dedicated to creating intentional dining experiences that celebrate the African Diaspora and the richness of community. Founded by Jason Scott, BLK Cookery reflects a lifelong journey shaped by movement, tradition, and professional training.
Jason was born in Buffalo, New York, and his upbringing carried him across the country — from Kansas to Indiana, then to Meridian and Jackson, Mississippi, where his family roots run deep. After graduating high school, he attended Jackson State University, grounding his path in both culture and community before pursuing his professional culinary calling..
